In this demonstration, students will learn the basics of cookie decorating. You will then learn how to make the pumpkin luminary with royal icing, melted candy and marshmallow fondant. All the recipes will be given. Students will leave with the confidence to make these on their own. No supplies are needed.

In this class you will be making mini roses and orchids out of gumpaste. Both are suitable for cupcakes, mini cakes or just for fun. You will learn quick and easy techniques for making each flower, buds and leaves. At the end of the class you will use petal dust to color you flowers and leaves. Bring a small box to carry your finished project home. The instructor will provide all necessary supplies and tools for your use.

In this hands-on class you will learn quick and easy techniques to make a chocolate rose with a limited number of tools. You will also learn how to apply edible dusting powder to the rose which will seem to bring the flower to life. Bring a box or container to carry your finished project home. The instructor will provide all the necessary supplies and tools for your use.

Ladies Purse Cake by Judy Scurlock

Learn to make a ladies purse cake. In this hands-on class we will explain how to cut and prepare a real cake at home using a ladies purse as a model. In class you will be working with a Styrofoam dummy cake. You will learn how to cover the cake using fondant and how to apply accents and design to your personalized purse cake. The instructor will supply the cake dummy and fondant. Impression mats will be available for your use.
Student Supply List: Students will need to bring the following:
Non stick mat
Rolling pin
Dusting bag with powdered sugar
Cutting wheel or paring knife
Gumpaste tools
Luster dust and cookie cutters if desired

Cupcakes for Kids by Suzy Hutton

Class fee $20 per person
This is an introduction to cake decorating class designed for kids at least 8 years of age. Kids between 8 & 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Class participants will learn how to use a decorating bag to decorate cupcakes. First we will practice several decorating techniques. Then we will learn how to fill the cupcakes. Finally we will color the frosting so each student may choose a design and decorate their cupcakes. Each student needs to bring 6 cupcakes in a suitable container. The instructor will provide all the necessary supplies for decorating the cupcakes. Students may also wish to bring an apron for other clothing protector.

This class is 2 hours of hands-on with chocolate. You will learn how to use melting chocolate for dipping candy centers, and pretzels, chocolate striping and using chocolate transfer sheets on cookies. All supplies are included. Students will take home an assortment of samples completed. Bring a box to carry your goodies home.
